During high season it is possible to reach the island from the ports of Palermo, Messina, Reggio Calabria, Vibo Valentia, Sapri, Salerno and Naples Mergellina, while all year round there are departures to Panarea from the port of Milazzo.
On board the ferries to Panarea there are large air-conditioned lounges with plenty of seating, toilets, bar and restaurant, children's play areas and accessible outdoor decks. Ferries usually depart in the evening and it is also possible to stay overnight in comfortable cabins with exclusive access.
Hydrofoils to Panarea are instead always scheduled during the day and the crossings are always quite short, although the actual duration varies depending on the route chosen. On board the hydrofoils there is a comfortable air-conditioned salon with plenty of seats, toilets and sometimes a small snack bar.
On crossings to Panarea, unfortunately, it is not allowed to make reservations to transport your own vehicle. Pets are welcome on board, although each company has its own travel conditions. Guests with disabilities can also travel without worry and will receive appropriate assistance during the trip.
