Ferries La Graciosa

Located north of Lanzarote, the 27 km² island of La Graciosa is the largest of the Chinijo Archipelago, which also includes the islets of Alegranza, Montaña Clara, and the Roques del Este and Oeste.

Together, they are part of the Chinijo Archipelago Maritime-Terrestrial Natural Park, the first to be declared by the Canary Islands government, and its waters are protected by the Isla Graciosa Marine Reserve and Islotes del Norte de Lanzarote.

The island's terrestrial environment is distinguished by its stunningly beautiful volcanic landscapes, punctuated by dunes and sandbars, and by its enormous biological wealth of endemic floral species, as well as its importance as a crossing point on the route of many protected migratory birds, as well as a breeding ground for some endangered birds.

The only inhabited island in the archipelago, it has two inhabited centers, La Caleta de Sebo and Pedro Barba, of which only the former is inhabited year-round and has a census of 700 inhabitants, devoted mainly to fishing.

As for the marine environment, the mild temperatures of its waters provide the necessary conditions for the existence of a great diversity of species of both fauna and flora, scattered in the various coastal and deep-sea habitats.
