Siremar is a historical Sicilian shipping company that provides connections between Sicily and the minor islands, as well as with the port of Naples. Founded in 1975, the company has undergone two important transformations in the years since: it was first sold to the Sicilian Region and then, in 2016, it was acquired by Caronte&Tourist Minor Islands. Thanks to the services it offers, its reliability and safety, it is considered the main operator of connections with the minor islands of the Sicilian territory.

Routes
Siremar operates a wide range of routes in five different areas: Palermo Ustica and Trapani Pantelleria, the Aeolian Islands archipelago with round trips to Naples, the Egadi Islands and the Pelagie Islands archipelago. The fleet consists of 15 vessels, which carry both passengers and vehicles. The most popular route for the Egadi Islands is the Trapani Favignana route, which covers all daytime slots, while for the Aeolian Islands it is the Milazzo Lipari route. Both of these connections are the shortest, and as far as long-distance connections are concerned, the connections from Naples to the Aeolian Islands are in great demand, with durations that cover the entire night-time band.

Fares

Children from 0 to 3 years old are NON-paying passengers, while from 4 to 11 years old they have the 50% reduced fare, from 12 years old they are considered adults and have the standard fare applied.

🚗 Vehicles
All Siremar ferries have spacious garages where you can take your own vehicles, such as cars, campers, motorbikes and minibuses.

💺 Accommodation
For these routes, you can choose between the classic deck passage, which does not have assigned seats but allows you to spend the crossing in all the common areas of the ship, the numbered chair in the special lounge and, finally, to ensure your privacy and total comfort, you can book an exclusive cabin, which is divided into an inside and an outside cabin. Given the length of the crossing, the cabin is usually the most popular choice for travellers.

🍴 Bars and entertainment
On board Siremar ferries, you can enjoy your meals and drinks in comfortable bars and self-service restaurants.

♿ Accessibility
The company guarantees all passengers with reduced mobility (including the elderly with mobility problems) assistance with boarding and disembarking. On some vessels, it will be possible to request a cabin with disabled access, where available. In addition, vessels have specific minimum requirements to ensure safety on board.

🐾 Pets
Don't forget to include your pet in your booking: you can leave them in the onboard kennels on the ferry or, where available, in the pet cabin. Alternatively, you can keep your pet with you throughout the crossing in the pet areas. Remember to bring everything you need (ticket, leash, muzzle or carrier for small animals and any necessary health documentation) to ensure your pet is properly accommodated.

🧳Luggage
Each full fare passenger is entitled to one piece of baggage weighing up to 20 kg. Reduced fare passengers, on the other hand, are entitled to half of the possible weight, meaning they can take on board a piece of baggage weighing up to a maximum of 10kg.

For the Milazzo - Aeolian Islands, Trapani - Egadi Islands and Palermo - Ustica routes for these short routes, the ferries are slightly smaller than the others, so the main services are carried on board:

• You can embark your private vehicle on board.

• You will also find bars where you can have snacks and drinks. Public toilets.

• The only accommodation available in this case is the deck passage, which allows you to sit in the common areas on board.

• Passengers with reduced mobility can request assistance with embarking and disembarking, as there are lifts on board each ferry.
