Ferries to StromboliPort connections and services
Stromboli has a primordial charm. The volcanic cone rises from the sea puffing ash and steam, the black beaches create a picturesque contrast to the white houses typical of the island's architecture. This summer immerse yourself in the charms of the Aeolian Islands, it will be an unforgettable holiday!
⚓ The port of Stromboli is small but busy, especially in the summer season when connections are more frequent. The town centre is just a stone's throw from the port, and as soon as you disembark you will find all the essential services you will need: restaurants, bars, ticket offices, hotels, shops and groceries.
🚢 Stromboli is connected with all the other islands of the archipelago but also with the ports of mainland Italy, such as Naples and Vibo Valentia. If you are on holiday in Sicily, you can reach Stromboli from the ports of Palermo, Messina and Milazzo.
There are two ferry companies operating the connections: Liberty Lines travels with fast hydrofoils and frequent departures, representing the ideal solution for those who want to reach Stromboli in a short time. The cost of the hydrofoil ticket includes a seat on board and a hand luggage of 10 kilos, with the possibility of adding extra luggage by paying a surcharge. Some departures involve a stopover, which means you will have to stay on board while embarkation and disembarkation take place, you will not have to change hydrofoil.
Siremar, on the other hand, operates ferry connections. The departures are less frequent and the sailing time is longer, but travelling by ferry has some advantages: first of all, it is more comfortable, as the ferries are more spacious and there are numerous services on board, such as bars, restaurants, shops and swimming pools. In addition, the costs of travelling by ferry are lower and there are no luggage limits. Siremar ferries have large garages, but please note that there is a ban on disembarking all motor vehicles in Stromboli, so take this into account when planning your holiday.

Stromboli ferries About Stromboli
Stromboli will captivate you with its breathtaking landscapes. Millennia of volcanic activity have created the black beaches that characterise the island. From the main harbour you can easily reach the beaches of Scari, Ficogrande and Forgia Vecchia, and enjoy the unique experience of sunbathing on the volcanic sand.
After a day at the beach, explore the village, where you will find many restaurants that prepare excellent traditional Sicilian dishes. The catch of the day is always fresh, try it with a good wine.
The municipal administration has decreed that night lighting is forbidden on Stromboli, making the island a light-pollution-free paradise, ideal for watching the stars reflected in the sea! In the restaurants you will dine strictly by candlelight and, with a bit of luck, you may even see the spectacle of glowing lava flows descending to the sea.
On Stromboli you will find many experienced guides who will accompany you up to the crater and along the many paths that criss-cross the island. You will be able to admire the view from the top of the summit and the Sciara del Fuoco, a solidified lava flow that ends up in the sea. If you have time, organise a boat trip to Strombolicchio, an ancient volcano not far from the island of Stromboli, where you will find a seabed full of colour and life!
Stromboli will leave you speechless with its breathtaking views and deep blue waters. It is the perfect destination for those who want to spend their holidays in a place unlike any other, far from the great holiday masses and in tune with the rhythms of nature.
